UCHS Band Aide Club Minutes

March 3, 2009

President Andy Fowler called the meeting to order with Rhonda Sanders leading in prayer. Stacy Gibson read the minutes from the previous meeting. Maxine Craft made a motion to accept the minutes and Rhonda Sanders gave a second.

Susan Adams gave the treasury report. The beginning balance in the general account is $2309.10 with $20,728.54 in the children’s account.

President Andy Fowler reminded us that the band review for sixth, seventh, and eighth grades would be held April 16th at 7:00pm. The review for UCHS, Indoor Percussion, and Winter Guard would be April 17th at 7:00pm. There was discussion to have a hotdog sale both nights of band reviews, in order to raise much-needed funds to finish out this year and to start next year. Susan Adams is going to price items to see if it would be feasible to pursue this. If we follow through with this idea the hotdog sale would start at 5:00pm both days.

The Band Banquet will be held on April 28th at 6:00pm. It was decided to use Midway BBQ again this year to cater the meal and Susan Adams is going to check with Jay on price per plate. Mr. Wilkes informed us the there were approximately 20 jackets to be given out this year.

Mr. Wilkes informed us that Band Camp for the coming year would start July 20th with 2 weeks of camp at home. We will then spend August 2nd – 7th at Converse, Converse agreed to keep the fee same as last year.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 31st so that we will have time to discuss and get ready for the band review.

With no further business the meeting adjourned.

Respectfully Submitted,

Stacy Gibson
