Union County Band Aide Club Minutes

October 7, 2008

President Andy Fowler called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm.

Vise President Karen Greer led the group in prayer.

Stacy Gibson read the minutes from the previous meeting. A motion was made by Maxine Craft to accept the minutes with a second given by Pam Fowler. They were approved as read.

Susan Adams gave a treasury report we have $6124.25 in the general account. The children’s account balance is $578.08. We made a profit of $1436.95 on concessions from the Gaffney ballgame and $150.00 from the Philco Trailer. Due to the rainy weather the Broome ballgame was pretty much a bust. We made $6.91 on concessions and $25.00 from the Philco Trailer.

We were made aware bottled water is still needed. If you haven’t brought a case please do so at this time.

Chairperson of Concessions Pam Fowler requested help for the remainder of the home games.

Sue Gregory & Susan Adams Volunteered to pin the flowers and take pictures of our Seniors on Senior night.

Beverly Smith and Stacy Gibson are heading up Spirit Sales. The new black and gold tee shirts are a hit. We are also expecting more Union County tee shirts and magnets next week. These will be white with black and gold print. Beverly and Stacy are at the High School every Tuesday and Thursday after band practice and at the home ballgames near the lower concession stand.

The executive committee voted to give 100% of the profit from fruit sales to the kid’s account. This came to the floor for discussion and needed a second. All agreed and Gloria Farr made the second.

Due to website issues it was decided to get Bill Weibley to assist us with our existing site or to rebuild another site if necessary.

Mr. Wilkes made us aware of the upcoming schedule concerning the Competitions. He also said today’s practice was the best performance he had seen yet, but that we were up against some larger bands this coming week. We still have work to do to perfect this show, to make state and to win.

With no further business the meeting adjourned.

Respectfully Submitted,

Stacy Gibson
